DOVE I LOVED

You would stare at me
With blue serene eyes
That would instantly melt my soul
Many a nights you would embrace me
Under your soft warm wings
You would then scale the heights
To the highest point of my mind
There perch on the crescendo
Of romance unfathomable
With your warm feathers
You would caress my manhood
Till I drown in your passionate moods
Oh! And your homely nest
So warm I had swore
Forever I’d your pest.

Till your blue serene eyes turned pepper
Soft wings became thorny
Till you scaled to the highest peak of pride
There perching on the climax
Of humiliation unbearable
Till your warm feathers turned cold
So frozen that I could no longer hold
Till your homely nest
Oh homely nest could no longer house me
Till your love for me you threw away.

CALL FROM HELL

Imagine a call from hell
One filling you with such a cruel spell
Telling you to slay your dear wife
To defile your innocent daughter
To behead your humble neighbour.

Imagine a call from hell

Satan himself on the other side of the line

Whispering to you that witchcraft is just fine

His sweet voice caressing your soul

Cunningly filling hate into your dining bowl.

Imagine a call from hell

Lucifer soothingly promising you heaven

Be corrupt, unto you wealth will be given

Pleading with you not to hung up

As he pours wickedness into your cup.

Imagine a call from hell

Ringing with such a romantic flow

That your heart leaps and your eyes glow

Your fingers vibrate yearning to pick the receiver

Ready to hear from the death giver.

Be wary my soul brothers and sisters

Be very afraid of the next call on your soul-phone

Less it’s from a demon with a crooked horn

Be very careful my people

Less before you reason again

With a deathly curse you will be gone.

AM I TO BLAME?

Is it true I'm a teeenage goon
That I be reprimanded  this soon.

Is it true I, ghetto girl, dress indecently

That I’m a rape victim constantly

Is it true I'm a seasoned bandit
That I'm accused of crimes I didn't commit

Is it true that all I do is to hurl insults

That I’m always a victim of my husband’s brutality

Is it true that I’m to blame

For all the woes that befall me?

AFRICAN PRINCESS

If I were the rainbow
I’d paint colours of joy on your generous heart
That the jealous world may always envy
Your gorgeous presence in it.

If I were the heavenly stars
I’d twinkle on your white angelic eyes to days on end
That they reflect the gentleness, the softness in you
Softness of wool on an African mountain ewe.

If I were the romantic moon
I’d smile, smile n smile
On your gentle full lips never to cease
Forever you’d be at ease.

If I were a cool breeze
I’d blow your African attire to flow harmoniously
With your bouncy shapely swaying hips
That when you pass men salivate and blow up their fly zips.

If I were the sun
I’d always shine on your striking round face
I’d radiate your life in times of darkness
I’d shelter you from third -world male harshness.

If I were the rain
I’d shower your fine dark mysterious pigment
That the black Africa in you
May evermore puzzle all humanity.
